Love, Peace, Dreams, and Bombs.Love, Peace, Dreams, and Bombs presents Yumiko Glover’s recent artwork and talks created for this event by A. Colin Raymond, Carl Gabrielson, Sabine Frühstück, and Travis Seifman, combined with video interviews of all five members by Naoya Matsushima.
As a co-organizer of the event, I helped to coordinate between members regarding the styles and directions of our contributions. I also raised the funds and managed the budget, secured the venue for the talks, and handled the copyediting and printing of the event posters and pamphlets. |
"IDOLIZING THE MILITARY: CELEBRITY SPOKESWOMEN OF THE JAPAN SELF DEFENSE FORCES"

Conference on Global Higher Education at Lakeland University JapanI started the Conference on Global Higher Education with my coworker Roger Grabowski in 2013. Our goal was to bring scholars together to discuss what it means for a university to offer Global education, and the policies, practices, and pitfalls that emerge as it takes shape. We held the first conference in 2014, and I continued to be the chair of the steering committee until after the 2015 conference, when I returned to the United States to pursue my Ph.D.
